Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in high-volume hospital environments.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Assignment is located on the 12B Medical unit of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes diverse, complex, and high-volume cases across all diagnoses, including COVID, Monkeypox, and other isolation precautions
• Epic EMR is required and must be noted in candidate profile
• Block scheduling is not approved on most units
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and severe cases required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma settings required
• Epic EMR proficiency required

• No RTO (time off) requests will be approved for this assignment
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals are not eligible for this role
