Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-hour day shift contract at a community-based Level 3 Trauma Center in Washington state.
Details
- Work in an MRI unit at a 123-bed community-based Level 3 Trauma Center with 1 MRI room
- Patient population includes ICU, ER, inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics (minimal), and altered mental status patients
- Average caseload of 15–20 MRI cases daily
- Procedures include general MRI exams covering MSK, body, neuro, and cardiac imaging, with exposure to trauma patients and sporadically combative patients
- Equipment includes GE 1.5T MRI (Altea) and Alaris IV pumps
- EMR: Epic
- Shift is typically Saturday through Monday, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM; days may vary
- On-call required at end of shift Saturday and Sunday (8:30 PM – 8:00 AM the following morning)
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- Current BLS required
- WA state license required if applicable
- GE 1.5T MRI scanner experience required
- Proficiency in IV starts required
- Experience with MSK, body, neuro, and cardiac MRI sequences
- Ability to work independently as a self-sufficient practitioner
- Ability to manage trauma and sporadically combative patients

- At least one reference is required for initial consideration; a second reference (from a supervisor or above, such as a Charge Nurse, Manager, or Director) will be needed prior to start
- Any scrub color is acceptable
