Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-hour day shift contract at a community-based Level 3 Trauma Center in Washington state.

Details

• Work in an MRI unit at a 123-bed community-based Level 3 Trauma Center with 1 MRI room
• Patient population includes ICU, ER, inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics (minimal), and altered mental status patients
• Average caseload of 15–20 MRI cases daily
• Procedures include general MRI exams covering MSK, body, neuro, and cardiac imaging, with exposure to trauma patients and sporadically combative patients
• Equipment includes GE 1.5T MRI (Altea) and Alaris IV pumps
• EMR: Epic
• Shift is typically Saturday through Monday, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM; days may vary
• On-call required at end of shift Saturday and Sunday (8:30 PM – 8:00 AM the following morning)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS required
• WA state license required if applicable
• GE 1.5T MRI scanner experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts required
• Experience with MSK, body, neuro, and cardiac MRI sequences
• Ability to work independently as a self-sufficient practitioner
• Ability to manage trauma and sporadically combative patients
