Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehab and acute care setting in Hilo, Hawaii, requiring an active Hawaii state license by the start of the assignment.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation and acute rehab setting within a hospital
- Coverage across both Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab departments
- Patient population consists of adults in outpatient and acute care settings
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- EMR systems used include Net Health Therapy and Meditech
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license; Hawaii state license required by start of assignment (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with adult patients in outpatient and acute care settings
- BLS certification from the American Red Cross required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Must plan and implement ongoing OT treatment programs as prescribed by the ordering physician, including regularly updating treatment plans and home exercise programs
- Must be able to independently manage a full caseload and determine when re-evaluations are appropriate based on insurance authorization
- Holiday coverage may be required based on hospital operations for Hawaii State and Federal Holidays
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment takes place at the facility's Employee Health department and must be attended in person — plan to arrive in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start date to attend Friday morning
