Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 18 months of experience, Cerner charting proficiency, and an active IN or Compact RN license in hand.
Details
- ICU position in an acute care hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every third weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current ACLS and BLS required (AHA and RQI formats accepted); NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of ICU RN experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Nursing degree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
- Indiana-licensed RNs are not eligible for this position (ICU is not exempt from the IN RN restriction)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted for this ICU position
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
