Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a 599-bed acute care teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab of a 599-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Patient population includes coronary disease, peripheral vascular disease, valvular disease, STEMI/NSTEMI, and unstable angina
• Specialized procedures include cardiac cath, high-risk PCI, peripheral interventions, carotid stents, TAVR/MitraClip workups, and research cases
• Specialized equipment includes Impella, Shockwave, Rotoblator, CSI, IABP, and Laser
• Cerner EMR is used (experience preferred)
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call required as needed
• No floating outside of the Cath Lab

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or Compact RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Circulator experience required
• Conscious sedation skills required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• State Board of Nursing license verification and NURSYS verification required for consideration

• Responsibilities include circulating and administering conscious sedation during cath lab procedures
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Parking is included
• No block scheduling available
• Local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• No RTO restrictions written into the contract; RTO requests may be discussed during the interview process
