Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 3 years of ER experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• Emergency Department setting with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required; only one holiday off can be approved per contract
• Floating required between both campuses as needed to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license currently in hand; pending licenses not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ER) nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO is at the manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before being required to leave for at least 6 months prior to returning
• All callouts for scheduled shifts may require makeup shifts as determined by the department
