Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital, with experience in diagnostic X-rays, fluoroscopy, and C-arm required.
Details
- 176-bed acute care hospital setting serving inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient populations
- Radiology department with 2 X-ray Techs on the night shift
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Procedures include diagnostic X-rays, fluoroscopy studies, and surgery/C-arm
- EMR: Cerner Radnet; PACS: Philips Enterprise
- 12-hour night shifts on a 7-on/7-off schedule running Thursday through Wednesday
- Thursday through Saturday shifts run 7:30 PM–7:30 AM; Sunday through Wednesday shifts run 9:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Every other weekend rotation is included as part of the 7-on/7-off schedule
- Holiday coverage is dependent on rotation schedule
- No floating required
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- ARRT certification and BLS required
- Minimum of 2 years of X-ray experience required
- Proficiency in diagnostic X-rays, fluoroscopy studies, and surgery/C-arm procedures required
- AL state license required if applicable
- DOB (day and month) and SSN required for consideration
- 1 reference from a charge-level position or above within the past 12 months required for consideration
- Copy of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler at this facility
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Orientation consists of 1–2 shifts
- Time off requests require email approval and cannot be pre-approved on the candidate's behalf
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Free parking available on-site
