Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department Night Shift position requiring a CA RN license, 2+ years of ER experience, and willingness to cross-train in other departments.

Details

• Emergency Department (ER) setting within a hospital
• Night shift hours: 19:00–07:30, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience preferred
• EMR systems used: T-System and CPSI
• Floating to Med/Surg may be required as needed
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's, Thanksgiving, and Christmas only
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 2+ years of recent ER experience
• Working knowledge of T-System and CPSI EMRs
• Must pass a nursing medication test prior to starting
• Basic computer skills required
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and the public
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides patient care in an emergency setting with initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimal supervision
• Responsible for safe, rapid, and accurate triage of emergency patients
• Communicates with physicians regarding patient status and condition changes
• Must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as needed
