Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Tele/Med-Surg position at a Critical Access Hospital in Arizona, requiring ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications with at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care Tele/Med-Surg unit at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
• 23-bed unit serving a diverse medical and surgical patient population
• Common patient cases include medical conditions (COPD exacerbation, renal failure, diabetes, CHF) and surgical cases (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, total joint replacements, bowel resections, fasciotomies, tonsillectomy) as well as GYN procedures and pediatric patients
• Charting system is MEDITECH
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Floating to the ICU may be required on an as-needed basis for overflow, only when the nurse has the appropriate experience and competency
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or a Compact RN license currently valid in Arizona is required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• BSN is not required

• The unit maintains a collaborative team environment with ongoing assessment of staff needs and competencies
• Nurses will not be floated to any department where they lack relevant experience or demonstrated competency
