Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring prior travel experience and a full suite of ER-level certifications.
Details
- Acute care hospital Emergency Department with 33 beds and 2 trauma bays
- Fast track area available within the ED
- Patient population includes high-acuity cases such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, and ACS
- Daily patient volume ranges from 125–140 patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3–4:1
- ED Technicians and 24/7 charge nurse coverage available
- 24/7 security and IV team on site
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available on site
- EMR: Epic
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Every-other-weekend requirement
- Occasional holiday coverage required
- Floating within the region may be required to sister facilities in Lakewood, WA and Enumclaw, WA
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WA state or Compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC — pending certifications not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior ED experience required
- At least one completed travel nursing assignment required
- COVID vaccination required
- Driver's license required
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years — must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs (top and bottom) required
- Orientation consists of 1 day of floor-specific orientation (12 orientation hours total)
- Candidates who have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
