Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2-3 years of experience for a 13-week contract at a Level I Trauma acute care facility using Epic.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma center
• Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 8 fluoroscopy rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
• Procedures include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart caths, device cases, and EP cases
• Equipment includes XIM (Philips charting), Epic, Pyxis, Xcelera, and Siemens and Philips fluoroscopy systems
• Epic is the primary EMR
• 4x10-hour day shifts with varying start times (0530-1600, 0630-1700, or 0730-1800)
• On-call requirement of 1 call shift per week and 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks with a 30-minute response time
• Candidates will be placed on the mandate list to fill any vacant call shifts not otherwise covered
• Holiday call coverage required for Thanksgiving and Christmas if needed
• No floating to other units or departments

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
• RCIS or RCES preferred
• Proficiency scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring in a cardiac cath lab environment required
• Experience with peripheral/vascular, right and left heart cath, EP, and device cases preferred
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy systems preferred
• License required if applicable
• Two current professional references required — one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years in the same specialty
• All certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted

Additional Information

• Orientation focuses on monitoring in XIM and developing proficiency in scrubbing and circulating
• Orientation is 8 hours
• Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose this on their resume or submission materials
• Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date to be considered
• Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are subject to a travel pay rate adjustment
• All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility
• Requested time off during the assignment should be noted at the time of consideration
