Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a BSN and minimum 3 years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital using Epic EMR.

Details

• Works in a large acute care Operating Room department with 35 OR rooms
• Circulates for one OR room at a time
• Must be flexible to work across all surgical specialties as needed
• No floating to other units
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 consistent nights per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekends only if scheduled for a Friday/Saturday/Sunday block; no mandatory weekend requirements otherwise
• No additional on-call shifts scheduled
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• Orientation is approximately one day covering charting, ESAR privileges, and pre-op/PACU orientation

Requirements

• Active SD RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• BSN required
• Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Certifications must be active at time of consideration; no pending certifications accepted
• 2 current professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating in the OR across all surgical specialties
• Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility; no earrings permitted and all surgical dress code policies must be followed
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Travelers with previous employment at any Sanford Health location must disclose this; prior Sanford employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
• Local candidates (within 80 miles of the facility) are accepted for this position
