Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Level 4 trauma center in Kerrville, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 20-bed Emergency Department with a Level 4 trauma designation seeing over 34,000 patients annually
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• 13-week contract based in Kerrville, TX — located in Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP, and SANE
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, which includes testing for marijuana; a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could produce a positive result
