Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with neuro/stroke IR experience for a high-volume vascular interventional radiology setting serving pediatric through geriatric patients.

Details

• Works in a high-volume IR/Angio setting performing fluoroscopic, specialized interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
• Averages 10–15 cases per day
• May occasionally assist with CT, ultrasound, and diagnostic procedures as needed
• Uses Philips Imaging Systems and PACS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday with an alternating day off
• Weekday call required in addition to rotating weekend call (Friday–Sunday) with a 30-minute response time; call frequency varies based on staffing and vacation coverage

Requirements

• ARRT certification and BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS preferred; CV or VI specialty certification (ARRT) preferred
• Neuro angiography and stroke IR experience required
• Experience beyond basic peripheral access, lines, or drains required
• Pediatric and adult clinical experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• PACS proficiency required
• Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally, with prolonged standing 34–66% of the time
• Proof of address and supervisory reference required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures using sterile technique
• Administers contrast via power injector as prescribed and monitors patients for allergic reactions or adverse effects
• Adheres to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others
• Obtains and verifies patient clinical history, lab work, informed consent, and completes pre-, intra-, and post-procedure documentation
• Works within an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; must be flexible and adaptable
• RNs will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
