Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level III NICU position requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience and proficiency with advanced respiratory support equipment including Bubble CPAP, NIPPV, and high-frequency ventilation.
Details
- Level III NICU at a regional hospital in Grand Junction, CO
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Weekend requirement: 7 weekends in every 8-week period (Friday & Saturday)
- On-call requirement: 2 call shifts per 8-week period
- Proficiency required with Bubble CPAP, NIPPV, Draeger vents, HFOV, and Nitric oxide
- Epic used for charting
- Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license required — no pending licenses
- Minimum 1 year of NICU (Level III or higher) experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and NRP — must not expire prior to assignment start
- ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- 2 references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates are expected to share knowledge with unit caregivers and allow participation in patient cares, though formal precepting is not required
- BSN and specialty certification are preferred but not required
- Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
