Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level III NICU position requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience and proficiency with advanced respiratory support equipment including Bubble CPAP, NIPPV, Draeger vents, HFOV, and Nitric.

Details

  • Level III NICU in a regional hospital setting in Grand Junction, CO
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour nights per week (36 hours/week)
  • Weekend requirement: 7 weekend shifts (Friday and Saturday nights) per 8-week period
  • On-call requirement: 2 call shifts per 8-week period
  • Proficiency required with Bubble CPAP, NIPPV, Draeger vents, HFOV, and Nitric oxide therapy
  • EMR: Epic (charting experience required)
  • Floating to other departments may be required within scope of competency and qualifications

Requirements

  • Active CO single-state or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required — both must be AHA-issued and must not expire before the assignment start date
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU (Level III or higher) experience required
  • ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidate responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for NICU patients
  • Collaborative work environment — candidates should be willing to share knowledge and allow staff to participate in patient cares, though formal precepting is not expected
  • Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
  • BSN and relevant specialty certification are preferred
