Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience and active CA licensure for a travel contract in a mammography department.
Details
- Mammography department within an acute care health system
- Performs routine and specialized breast imaging procedures
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation required
- Weekday shift starts vary between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM; weekend shift starts between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- CA CRT required
- CA license required if applicable
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs routine and specialized breast procedures to produce quality diagnostic images for physicians and other healthcare providers
- Works independently using sound clinical judgment to execute safe, precise procedures and deliver accurate results in a timely manner
- Responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, and communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- May orient other staff to the department as needed
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Former employees must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved
