Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery OR position in Raleigh, NC, requiring L&D experience including OB triage and C-section circulation, with a NC or compact RN license required.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit including OBED, L&D rooms, ORs, and PACU bays
• Unit cares for patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and also serves high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients
• Unit consists of a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays
• Travelers will work in OBED, L&D, and OB PACU — OR circulation is not expected of travelers
• Day shift, 7:00am–7:00pm, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Ability to circulate for C-sections required
• Ability to triage for OB required
• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred)
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, patient assessment, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Nurses are expected to participate in unit performance improvement activities and promote cost-effective, safe patient care
• Drug screening required — candidates should be prepared to report to the lab promptly after accepting an offer
