Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Oncology unit position requiring chemotherapy certification and a MA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Oncology unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients with hematology, oncology, and non-oncology diagnoses such as asthma/allergy, GI, rheumatology, and MS
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Unit has 12 beds with an average daily census of 32
• Specialized procedures include port accessing and IV placement
• Medication system: Omnicell
• EMR/documentation systems: Cerner and IntelliDose
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00–16:30 or 9:00–17:30

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certificate required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• OCN certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of 3–4 shifts with a preceptor
• Scrubs are not provided; any color is acceptable

• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
