Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with both vascular ultrasound and echocardiography experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level IV Trauma acute care hospital.
Details
- Work in the ultrasound department of a short-term acute care hospital with 49 staffed beds, designated as a Level IV Trauma Center
- Performs vascular ultrasound studies and echocardiography, including adult echo, contrast echo, and stress echocardiograms (treadmill)
- Patient ratio of 8:1
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call required: weekdays 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound and echocardiography
- Proficiency in vascular ultrasound studies, adult echocardiography, contrast echo, and stress echocardiograms (treadmill) ā no training will be provided in these areas
- Experience in a short-term acute care hospital setting
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may negatively impact candidacy
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
