Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Breast Surgery/Oncology Clinic position requiring Epic proficiency and at least 1 year of outpatient or oncology nursing experience.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting specializing in breast surgery and oncology
• Patient population includes high-risk cancer patients and individuals genetically predisposed to breast cancer
• Primary work location is the Edmonds clinic, with occasional floating to the First Hill and Issaquah clinics
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required; OCN certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Outpatient/ambulatory clinic experience required
• Oncology experience (inpatient or outpatient) required
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• Skills required include telephone triage, office duties, patient assessment, medication reconciliation, vital signs, pain assessment, and patient health history/questionnaire
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include telephone triage, new breast cancer patient intake calls, surgical teaching, drain care, and coordination of care
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• First week of orientation/training takes place at the First Hill clinic
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff from non-Swedish Providence facilities must have been separated for at least 3 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Breast surgery and surgical assist experience are preferred
• Minimal RTO is preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact assignment consideration
