Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position at a teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a valid LA or compact RN license.

Details

  • High-risk OB unit in a teaching hospital setting
  • High-volume unit averaging 200–300 births per month
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
  • On-call required as needed
  • Floating required to the Mother/Baby unit
  • Weekend shifts required as needed
  • Hospital-provided scrubs
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and FHM
  • Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
  • Prior experience in a teaching hospital setting required
  • Experience in a high-volume L&D unit (200–300 births/month) required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
  • Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
  • Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
  • Any nurse who has been a permanent employee at any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
  • RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
