Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level I Trauma facility in Broward County, FL, requiring 3-5 years of Level I Trauma ER experience and an active FL or Compact RN license.
Details
- Emergency Department (ER) setting at a Level I Trauma facility
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on unit assignment
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are eligible at a reduced rate
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both via AHA), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- 3–5 years of Level I Trauma ER experience required
- Must be able to independently manage Level I trauma patients in the Trauma Bay
- Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) with at least 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital within the past 24 months
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia (EKG) assessment — pass/fail format
Additional Information
- Proof of vaccination status is required — declinations are not accepted
- Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment prior to starting; if a lethal rhythm section is not passed at 100%, a re-take dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 24 hours and passed with an overall Angoff score of 83% or greater, 100% on the lethal rhythm section, and 83% on all other sections
- Study guides and tips to help prepare for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation portal
