Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a resource float pool campus in Gaffney, SC, with night shift availability and on-call requirements.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within a resource float pool — primarily based at one campus but may float to main campus as needed
• RN will be notified in advance of their scheduled campus location for each shift
• May also float to additional campuses within the health system as needed
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• 48-hour workweeks are also an option
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• On-call required: 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6-week period
• Weekend shifts required on an as-needed basis
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required (pending license considered, but must be active prior to start)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must be able to pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia test and medication test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• This is a resource float pool position — flexibility to work across multiple campuses is essential
• Fit testing is required on-site; shaving may be required to pass the respirator fit test
• Holiday coverage is required as part of on-call obligations
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests made after submission will not be considered
• The facility has an attendance policy: missing more than 2 shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation
