Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on an Oncology floor, requiring a minimum of one year of recent Med/Surg experience and the ability to manage higher patient ratios.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg unit with an oncology-focused patient population
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7
• Block scheduling is available
• EMR: Cerner and Soarian
• Telemetry monitoring and IV insertion are required skills

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with higher patient ratios (1:6 or 1:7) required
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and IV insertion required
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Cerner and/or Soarian EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• 13-week assignment with possibility of extension
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided by facility)
• Minimal to no RTO; any requested time off must be disclosed upfront
• Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates residing between 31–50 miles from the facility are eligible but subject to a local pay rate
