Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry night shift position requiring an active MA RN license and AHA-only certifications.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patients include adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations with critical or life-threatening cardiac conditions
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract
• Uses Epic for charting
• UKG/Kronos timekeeping system

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required — must be AHA only
• MA license must be active and in hand prior to consideration — no pending licenses accepted
• Two professional references required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, assessing hemodynamic status, administering cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips, and recognizing and responding to patients in shock or other life-threatening conditions
• Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and insertion of temporary pacemakers
• Must be able to interact effectively with patients across varying intellectual levels and physical abilities
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but will be offered a reduced rate compared to the standard travel rate
• No validated parking is available at Boston-area locations; public transportation is recommended, and public parking lots are available at a cost of approximately $17–$22 per day
