Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a combined Labor & Delivery / OB & Med-Surg position requiring prior L&D experience and current NE or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Combined Labor & Delivery, OB, Mother/Baby, and Med-Surg adult unit role in a hospital setting
• Night shift: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM
• Required to work 2 out of every 3 weekends
• Block scheduling is available
• Subject to shift call-off based on patient census (up to 3 shifts, no penalty)

Requirements

• Active NE RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand is required
• BSN, ADN, or Diploma from an accredited nursing program required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT
• Prior Labor & Delivery experience is required
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs and occasionally lift more than 100 lbs
• Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities span Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics, Mother/Baby, and adult Med-Surg patient populations
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care using the nursing process
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age and learning abilities
• May serve in a Charge Nurse capacity, including staff assignment, mentoring, and emergency response
• Moderate noise level with potential exposure to airborne particles, mechanical equipment, and bloodborne pathogens (Classification I)
