Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, working night shifts in a welcoming team environment in the Texas Hill Country.

Details

• Med/Surg unit located in a newer facility
• Patient population includes medical/surgical and short stay cases
• Patient ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Telemetry experience is preferred
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions, and candidates should avoid any substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
