Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience for a cardiology/IR unit, with proficiency in scrubbing cardiac procedures required.

Details

• Cardiac cath lab with IR capabilities, featuring 2 procedure rooms
• Procedures include left and right heart caths, peripheral angiographies, pulmonary thrombectomies, peripheral thrombectomies, kyphoplasty, port placements, tunneled line placements, drain placements, ablations, and epidural injections
• Equipment includes Siemens C-arm and Sonosite ultrasound
• 4x10-hour day shifts
• On-call rotation of approximately one week on, one week off (Wednesday through Tuesday, every other week)
• No floating to other units or departments

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience required
• Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac procedures required
• IR experience preferred but not required
• Current BLS and RCIS certifications required
• 2 references required for consideration: 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor in the position's specialty within the last 3 years
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Primarily a cath lab-focused unit with IR capabilities; candidates without IR experience may be trained on IR procedures for coverage purposes
• Hospital-supplied surgical scrubs must be worn in procedure rooms
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
