Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience, BLS, and NRP certifications.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- Up to 6 weekend shifts required per department needs
- Holiday coverage required per department needs
Requirements
- Active RN license (OK or Compact) required
- BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
- NRP certification required (AHA/AAP-issued)
- Minimum 1 year of L&D nursing experience required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, managing pain including epidural support, assisting with vaginal and surgical deliveries, and educating families on postpartum recovery
- Serves as a primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition as appropriate
- Coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
- Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment
- Standard precautions and PPE protocols must be followed at all times
