Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP & Level 1 Nursery position in Salida, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active CO RN licensure.
Details
- Night shift position working 6 PM to 6 AM, 36 hours per week
- Weekend availability is required; holiday coverage may also be required
- Cares for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) patients as well as Level 1 Nursery neonates
- Responsibilities span all phases of care including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn/infant care
Requirements
- Active CO RN license (CO state or compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D or LDRP nursing experience required
- BLS and NRP required
- ACLS and NRP certification preferred
- Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Strong visual acuity required including close, color, and peripheral vision for patient monitoring and medical record review
Additional Information
- Independently assesses and evaluates the health status of labor and neonate patients using objective and subjective data
- Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and the broader healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provides patient and family education on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and infant care
- Communicates patient condition verbally and in writing to physicians and nursing supervisors
- Collaborates with nursery nurses in the care of mother/baby couplets and assists physicians with procedures
- May assist staff with emergencies in other nursing units as needed
- Position is located in the scenic mountain community of Salida, CO
