Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Float Pool position at a large inpatient psychiatric facility, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience with a background in psych/behavioral health.

Details

Float pool assignment covering all 19 inpatient psychiatric units across children, adolescent, and adult populations
337-bed inpatient psychiatric facility
Day shift: 7:00–15:30 and Evening shift: 15:00–23:30 (5x8-hour shifts)
Every other weekend required
Floating required across all inpatient units as a core expectation of this role
No on-call required
Charting is done in Sunrise (experience preferred)
Free parking available on campus

Requirements

Active RN license — Maryland or Compact state license currently in hand
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
At least 6 months to 1 year of psych/behavioral health experience required
Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required
Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start
Two professional references required for consideration
PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

Float pool nurses serve as some of the more experienced staff and may be assigned charge RN responsibilities during a shift
Scrub color: Navy Blue
Local candidates are accepted
Maximum of 1 pre-approved RTO request allowed for the duration of the contract
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
