Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a hospital-based general ultrasound position requiring a minimum of 1 year of sonography experience and ARDMS or ARRT certification.

Details

• Hospital-based general ultrasound department
• Exams performed across the department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• On-call rotation required 2 days per week and every other weekend
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sonographer
• Current ARDMS or ARRT certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with proper body mechanics
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for extended periods
• Ability to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform sonography exams to aid in patient diagnosis and continuum of care, and assist radiologists with exams
• This position is deemed safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes Marijuana — a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid anything that could produce a positive result, including CBD products, upon arrival onsite
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
