Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an outpatient rehabilitation setting in Cathedral City, CA, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active CA PT license.

Outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting
Flexible shift schedule
13-week contract
Patient caseload includes evaluation and treatment for mobility, function, and strength improvement
Responsibilities include supervising PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
EMR used for evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries

Requirements

Active Physical Therapist license in California required; license required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
Degree in Physical Therapy required
Proficiency with EMR systems required
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and PT billing procedures (Medicare, work comp, private, auto, liens, cash pay) preferred
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, assist with patient transfers, and remain physically mobile for 8–10 hour shifts including prolonged standing and walking
DOB and SSN may be needed for consideration

Additional Information

This facility was awarded Private Practice of the Year by the APTA
Responsibilities include patient evaluation and treatment, chart documentation, and coordination with physicians and front office staff regarding scheduling and follow-up
Must supervise PT Assistants and Aides and support team-based care delivery
Expected to uphold HIPAA compliance and participate in company privacy training
Continuing education coursework is preferred
No travel is expected outside of the primary clinic location
