Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Echocardiography with prior travel experience and a minimum of 1 year Echo and 2-3 years Ultrasound experience for a 13-week contract in a non-invasive cardiology unit.
Details
- Non-invasive cardiology unit at a 378-bed, Level III trauma facility
- Weekend day shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week
- Average daily caseload of 12–15 studies
- 4 staff sonographers on day shift; 1 staff sonographer on weekend day shift
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Echocardiography experience required
- Minimum of 2–3 years of general Ultrasound experience required
- Vascular experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Current BLS required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Orientation begins in the department on day one: first study is observational, with hands-on equipment and probe use under preceptor supervision for subsequent studies
- Day two of orientation involves performing studies on nursing units with preceptor support
- For weekend-shift assignments, a staff member will work alongside the traveler during the first weekend shift
