Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a short-term acute care teaching hospital, with call requirements and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting in a Nuclear Medicine department
• Level IV trauma, teaching hospital with 87 staffed beds
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call coverage required every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Holiday call expected if a federal holiday falls within the contract period; if multiple federal holidays occur, call is required for at least one
• May occasionally work independently or rotate between two departments
• Charting performed in Cerner
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• NMTCB and/or ARRT certification required
• AZ MRTBE license required (license required if applicable; typically takes 7–10 days to obtain)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Must be able to function independently after a two-week onsite orientation period
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Two weeks of onsite training provided before independent practice and call coverage begin
• Technologist will typically work alongside another NM tech but must be comfortable working independently and floating between two departments
• Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application — RTO requires unit manager approval
• Scrubs of any solid color are acceptable
• All staff are expected to adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocols (BCMA)
