Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and active ARRT and SC licensure for a travel assignment at a Level I Adult Trauma Center.
Details
- Work in the MRI department of a 641-bed regional community teaching medical center designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Facility specializes in advanced cardiac care, stroke, and vascular services
- Patient population spans all age groups from neonate through older adult in both acute care and outpatient settings
- Imaging performed includes chest, abdomen, pelvis, head (with and without contrast), musculoskeletal trauma, and spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI systems, as well as PACS
- Epic EMR experience required (minimum 1 year)
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census, and only to units for which competencies have been demonstrated
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- Active ARRT (MR) certification required
- Active SC QRSA license required; pending licensure is not accepted — license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience
- Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration, including starting peripheral IVs
- Experience with isolation precautions
- Must be competent across all age groups (neonate through older adult)
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Must reside 50+ miles from the Prisma Health Richland flagship hospital to be eligible for this position
- First-time travelers will not be considered
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging of chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, musculoskeletal, and spine with and without contrast across acute care and outpatient settings
- Administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as part of standard imaging workflows
- The facility's goal is to keep travel staff in their home unit; however, floating to other Prisma Health units or campuses may be required based on census, and only within the scope of demonstrated competencies
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from Prisma Health Richland to be eligible for this position; candidates residing under 50 miles are ineligible
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of booking and are subject to facility approval
- The facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
