Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Neuro Unit position at a Level 1 Trauma hospital, requiring at least 2 years of med/surg experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• 13-week contract
• Med/Surg Neuro unit within a large hospital setting
• Level 1 Trauma facility
• Patient ratio of 1:7 utilizing a team nursing model
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may be required, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or compact license currently in hand (no pending licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg experience, with prior travel nursing experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• ADN degree or higher required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible; at least one completed travel assignment is required (exception may be considered for candidates with 3+ years of recent experience)
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work 2 of those 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests made after an offer has been extended will not be submitted to the facility for approval
• Local candidates are not accepted
