Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Room position in New York, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ER experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 6pm–6am, three 12-hour shifts weekly
• Emergency Room setting serving a broad patient population across the life span
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Must possess physical ability to perform CPR, as well as capacity for bending, lifting, standing, and walking
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing and stabilizing patients, coordinating care, and communicating effectively with staff, patients, and families
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary emergency medical service provider team
• Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span and apply that knowledge to individualize patient care
• OSHA Category A position — potential for exposure to blood and other infectious body substances
• Weekend shifts are required
