Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Surgical Unit position in Peoria, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and a valid IL RN license.

Details

• Position is on a Surgical Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• 12-hour shifts with rotating weekend and holiday coverage
• May float to other Carle Health system hospitals including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required (temp license accepted)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Proficient English communication skills (written and verbal) required
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, individualized care planning, documentation, bedside lab testing, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Performs lab specimen collection and bedside lab testing in compliance with provider orders and hospital policies
• Utilizes lift equipment and safe patient handling practices as applicable
• Shares clinical knowledge through informal teaching and supports the professional development of team members
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any Carle Health location
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
