Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a freestanding emergency facility, requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work setting is a freestanding ER facility with 14 rooms including a dedicated Resuscitation Room
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Patient ratio is 1:5
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Holiday coverage required as needed
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may still be considered
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Epic experience required
- Driver's License and SSN required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Onboarding modules must be completed prior to start date
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN within the MUSC system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
- Free parking is available on site
