Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Pool position in Grand Junction, CO, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and active ACLS and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based float pool position with potential rotation across Medical/Surgical, Surgical, Medical Oncology, Inpatient Rehab, Cardiac, and Neuro/Trauma/Spine units
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (3 days per week, 36 hours per week) with flexibility to switch to days
• 13-week contract
• On-call may be required during regularly scheduled shifts
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — all must remain valid through the start of the assignment
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the specialty area being applied for
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing school required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, health teaching, treatment monitoring, documentation, and delegation to support staff
• Float coverage spans multiple units — candidates should be comfortable working across diverse inpatient specialties
• Former permanent Intermountain employees must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible
• RTO requests require managerial approval per organizational policy
