Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery (Obstetrics) position in Charleston, SC, requiring OR circulating experience and the ability to practice at the full scope of a Labor Nurse.
Details
- Hospital-based Obstetrics / Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- Ability to circulate in an OR is required; ability to scrub is preferred
- Charting performed in Cerner
- Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
Requirements
- Active RN license in SC or a compact state (candidate must not be a permanent SC resident holding only a compact license)
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Current NRP certification required
- All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- OR circulating experience required
- Ability to practice at the highest end of Labor Nurse scope is essential
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and act as a patient advocate throughout the care continuum
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care
- Provide patient and family education and evaluate effectiveness of teaching
- Perform scrub for OB OR procedures as needed
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Travelers who have been on assignment for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment at this facility
- First-time traveler eligibility is not specified for this position
