Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30 (12.5-hour shifts)
• 13-week travel contract
• Stepdown/PCU unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting performed in Cerner OneChart; experience preferred
• Floating may be required to like units on the same campus or to another campus within Wichita
• Ceil blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas or a compact state currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is preferred but not required
• MOAB De-Escalation Training may be required
• Local candidates are eligible to apply but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
