Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30 (12.5-hour shifts)
- 13-week travel contract
- Stepdown/PCU unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting performed in Cerner OneChart; experience preferred
- Floating may be required to like units on the same campus or to another campus within Wichita
- Ceil blue scrubs required
Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or a compact state currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is preferred but not required
- MOAB De-Escalation Training may be required
- Local candidates are eligible to apply but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
- SSN and full date of birth will be required as part of the submission process
