Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel X-Ray Technician with at least 18 months of experience for a night shift contract at a large acute care hospital in Morristown, NJ.
Details
- Large 900-bed acute care hospital radiology department
- Experience with OR-based imaging is required
- GE imaging equipment is used
- Epic is the EMR system used for charting
- Night shift schedule: 3x13-hour shifts per week from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- On-call is required for this position
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months of experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Graduate of an accredited radiography school
- Active NJ State RT License required if applicable
- Current ARRT certification
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with GE imaging equipment
- Ability to work independently in a large hospital setting
- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
- Responsible for equipment setup, maintenance, safety assessment, and troubleshooting
- Monitor patients' physical and physiological comfort throughout procedures and coordinate daily imaging workflow
- May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a break of 30–60 days is required before returning to a new assignment
- Two professional references are required for consideration
