Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac telemetry experience, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
Details
- Hospital PCU (Progressive Care Unit) setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring, including management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Peripheral line care and management, PICC line management
- Titration of IV drips
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating between all health system campuses is required as needed
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry (PCU) experience required
- Experience working with PCU patient ratios (1:5) required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
