Description

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for an outpatient setting in New Jersey, requiring 1-3 years of MRI experience, MR certification, and an active NJ RT license.

Details

• Outpatient medical oncology center setting
• Schedule is Wednesday–Friday 11:00 AM–9:00 PM and Saturdays 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week on 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• No on-call required
• May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
• Active NJ State RT license required (license required if applicable)
• MR certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with MRI equipment including positioning, coil placement, and scan sequencing
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Position patients on the examining table, place appropriate coils, and follow protocols as requested by the Radiologist
• Enter patient history, anatomical scan parameters, and positioning data into the MRI system and key scan sequence commands
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room window and closed-circuit TV throughout the examination
• Review images on video display to ensure quality, and photograph images as needed
• Enforce magnet room safety protocols, including alerting staff to the dangers of metal near the magnet
• Two references are required for consideration
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a break is required before returning to a new assignment
