Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) day shift position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring at least 1 year of recent ICU experience and an active AL or compact RN license with no history of license violations.

Details

  • Position is based in a Medical ICU (MICU) unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

  • Active AL or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted, and no prior or current hits on license allowed
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in the ICU specialty
  • Current documents required for consideration: skills checklist, 2 professional references within the last year, license verification via Nursys, and a current driver's license
  • Full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Meditech EMR is used; prior experience is not required
  • All ICU RNs are required to complete an on-site competency test in addition to an online pre-test
  • A cardiac exam will be administered as part of the onboarding process
  • No HealthStream modules are required prior to start — competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply at the same rates with no radius restrictions
  • Timekeeping is managed through Centricity
