Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/IR position in Grand Island, NE, requiring at least 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience and active NE or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Invasive Cardiology and Interventional Radiology (IR) Lab setting with two procedure rooms
- Common procedures include left heart caths, pacemaker insertions, pacemaker generator exchanges, loop recorders, PICC line insertions, and tube/drain placements
- May be tasked to assist in CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, the ER, and inpatient nursing units during slow periods
- Equipment includes Siemens Sensis reporting system, GE Case Cart (stress machine), and Epic EMR
- Schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- On-call is required on a Wednesday-to-Wednesday rotation every other week
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered RN license in Nebraska or a compact state
- Current BLS (AHA, ARC, or MTN) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of Critical Care or Med/Surg RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of IR RN experience preferred
- Hemodynamic monitoring and ECG interpretation skills preferred
- 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor in the specialty within the last 3 years
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, executing physician and nursing-initiated interventions, evaluating patient outcomes, and coordinating care across disciplines
- Hospital-provided surgical scrubs
- Orientation occurs during the first few days and covers facility-specific procedures, safety measures, and equipment and supply training
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
