Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU travel assignment in Bemidji, MN, requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience and an active MN RN license.

Details

• 14-bed ICU within an acute care hospital at a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Patient population includes critically ill adults requiring intensive monitoring and intervention
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 in the ICU
• 12-hour night shifts with every 3rd weekend required
• Floating required to Telemetry (1:3–1:5 ratio) and possibly the ER (1:3–1:5 ratio)
• Epic EMR is used in this unit; experience is preferred
• Pyxis medication dispensing system is utilized on the unit
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required — no pending certifications accepted
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required
• Proficiency with arterial lines, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, and cardiac monitoring required
• Willingness to float to Telemetry and ER units required
• Two current professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the specialty within the last 3 years

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include responding to Code Blue calls and managing patients on arterial lines, ventilators, BiPAP, and cardiac monitoring
• Orientation is 12–24 hours per unit and will be adjusted as needed
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates who previously worked at any Sanford Health location must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate adjustment
